Apartrooms has incredibly clean rooms. “Spotless” is one of the most commonly used words in our reviews and that was already the case before we ramped up our deep cleaning regime at the start of the pandemic. So, if the thought of a pet-friendly hotel troubles you, fear not. The rooms are as clean, quiet and comfortable as you could wish for. With direct room access from the car park meaning we have no reception area, the presence of dogs in the hotel has no effect on business travellers and other dog-free guests.
For those that do, our spacious apartment-style suites are ideal. We hadn’t thought to mention the dog-friendly nature of our facility before but when a canine celebrity visited us in September 2021 it became clear this was something to shout about. Sparkie, aka the Little Biker Dog, came to stay with his owner Mizz Pawz – Dog Trainer & Behaviour Professional – at the end of summer and posted about it on their social channels.

What do dog owners look from in holiday accommodation? Firstly, there is no premium for pets. The lack of a lobby area avoids any awkward starts to your stay and there are no corridors to navigate either. We would recommend our ground floor rooms for dog owners. Not only do you get direct access straight from the carpark but there are no stairs to negotiate with luggage and doggie paraphernalia. Of course, once settled in, you also have easy access to the outdoors. This doesn’t mean that every dog owner opts for the ground floor, it depends on the dog(s):
There were four of us with 2 dogs in a spacious first-floor apartment. Both bedrooms were en suite and very modern and I must say the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in. We wanted for nothing, everything was catered for and new, much easier than being in a hotel room with 2 dogs.
There are no sharp edges in the rooms, there are no loose items and nothing is easily breakable. There is plenty of storage to keep things out of harm’s way and plenty of space to keep your pets fed and rested. The area is noticeably quiet and room insulation is good so you are unlikely to disturb your neighbours or be bothered by them.
Of course, it’s not just the accommodation. Our location provides swift access to the historic City of Aberdeen, the rugged East Coast with its castles and beaches, and the Cairngorms National Park. We would love to welcome you and your canine friends.
